A 32-year-old man from the Aurora area wanted for first-degree child molestation is now behind bars.

Mark Bowerman, Jr. turned himself over to the Aurora Police Department on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and is now being held in the Lawrence County Jail.

Bowerman was the subject of the Barry-Lawrence Chapter of Crime Stoppers featured felon profile in December.

The Barry-Lawrence Chapter of Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to the arrest of those wanted for felony crimes. Tips may be submitted by calling 354-TIPS (8477) or toll-free at 1-888-635-TIPS (8477).

Tipsters may remain anonymous.

Tips may also be submitted through the Barry-Lawrence Crime Stoppers website at www.blcrimestoppers.com. Web-based tips are ineligible for a reward.

Law enforcement officials are still seeking the whereabouts of Joe D. Andrus, who has warrants for felony probation violation, passing bad checks, and traffic offenses; and Michael Nguyen, who is wanted for felony stealing and burglary. Andrus is also wanted for questioning in a Lawrence County arson fire.
