John O. Hudson Jr., 70, of Pierce City, passed away on Sunday Dec. 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born in King Fisher, Okla. on Dec. 10, 1942, the son of the late John O. and Blanch (White) Hudson Sr. On June 17, 1960 he was united in marriage to Sue Montgomery in Pierce City, she survives.
He was the former co-owner of Olympia Foundry in Monett until 2004, a reserve Lawrence County Sheriff, and was of Catholic Faith.
John is survived by his wife: Sue, Pierce City; two sons: Mitchell Hudson, Aurora, and Leo Golubski, Pierce City; two daughters: Sue Craker, Monett, and Melissa Lockhart, Clever, MO; one brother: Charles Hudson, Monett; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both his parents: John Sr. and Blanch; one son: John Eugene Hudson; and one brother: George Hudson.
Visitation for John Jr. will be held Friday Dec. 28, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Mo. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. in the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel with Larry Rickman officiating. Burial will follow services at the Pierce City Cemetery.
