Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 12/28/12

Thursday, December 27, 2012

With heavy snows in the Northwest portion of the state a week ago and
moderate snowfall in the Southeast this week some hay and grass supplies
were tested for the first time this winter. Neither event was long-lived
enough to pressure the market and spur buying. Hay supplies within the
state are light and the demand is light with prices steady.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for
both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for a directory visit
http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ or for current listings of hay
