Three injured in recent wrecks

An Aurora man sustained minor injuries in a single-car crash when he struck a cow in the roadway.

The crash occurred at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, on Highway 60 about two miles east of Monett. The driver of a 1997 Mazda Protégé, Devan M. Abrisz, 22, of Aurora, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

Other wrecks

* A Republic woman was injured in a single vehicle crash that occurred at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, oh Highway Z about three miles north of Halltown. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1999 Dodge 1500 pickup, Anna M. Stacey, 18, of Republic, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and struck a fence. Stacey was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

* A Webb City man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, on Interstate 44 at Halltown. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1998 Mercury Villager, Theresa C. Bryant, 64, of Webb City, failed to negotiate an exit ramp, ran off the road and struck a sign. A passenger in the vehicle, Grover C. Bryant, 65, of Webb City, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
