The Barry-Lawrence Regional Library will have a fine amnesty day on Tuesday, Dec. 18 offering patrons the opportunity to have 50 percent of their overdue library book fines waived if they come in that day to return overdue items (in good condition). This offer applies to new and existing fines, but does not apply to fees for lost or damaged materials.

New non-fiction titles at the Monett Branch Library include: "The "C" Students Guide to Scholarships," by Felecia Hatcher; "Complete Arthritis Health & Diet Guide" by Kim Arrey; and "ADHD."

New youth titles include: "The Second Life of Abigail Walker" by Frances O'Roark Dowell; "Impulse" by Ellen Hopkins; "Fallen in Love" by Lauren Kate; "Allegiance" and "Sacrifice" by Cayla Kluver; "Super Chicken Nugget Boy and the Furious Fry" and "Super Chicken Nugget Boy and the Pizza Planet People" by Josh Lewis, and "Alice in Zombieland" by Gena Showalter.

New children's titles include: and "Thomas and the Naughty Diesel," "Gordon's New View" and "Happy Birthday, Thomas!" by W. Awdry; "Mossy" by Jan Brett; and "Oh, No!" by Candace Fleming.
