Springfield, MO- Livestock Marketing Center: Cow and Bull Auction 12/10/2012

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower and slaughter
bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower. A high percent of the offering went to
slaughter with only a light supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs. Temp-
eratures in the lower thirty’s today make it feel like winter has arrived.
Supply and demand were moderate for slaughter classes.
Note: Next Monday will be the Marketing Center’s last cow sale of 2012.

915-1275 lbs 950.00-1000.00; short and solid mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage
1115-1275 lbs 800.00-960.00. Large 1-2  4 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and

1225.00. Medium 1-2  6 yrs to short and solid mouth 850-960 lb cows w/300-370
lb calves 1125.00-1185.00 per pair.
