Berean Christian Academy will present a "living nativity" at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. The program will include live music, refreshments, hay rides and a bonfire. The public is invited to attend. The school is located at 10385 Highway 60, one mile east of Lowe's. For more information, call 236-9088.

The Purdy Middle and High School Bands will perform their annual Christmas Concert in the Purdy Elementary Gym, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. Admission to the concert is free.

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Scott Regional Technology Center in Monett.

The Southwest Missouri Solid Waste Management District N will hold its regular executive board meeting at 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Alice Irene's Restaurant in Marionville.

The Purdy High School Choir will perform its annual Christmas Concert on Monday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.

The Wheaton Historical Society and Wheaton Depot Museum will hold their annual open house on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the depot in Wheaton. The depot will be open to visitors with free refreshments served. The museum will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Santa will be arriving early for the parade and at 3:30 p.m. will be available for free photos with children, complements of the Masonic Comfort Lodge #533 of Wheaton. Each child will receive a bag of candy.

A public ribbon cutting for the new playground on County Road and Oak Street on Marshall Hill in Monett will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.

The Freistatt Community Development Association will host the annual Freistatt community holiday dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Community Center. Ham and turkey will be furnished. All Freistatt community members are invited to attend and are asked to bring a side dish or desserts. Five drawings will be held. Two turkeys and hams will be given away and one month of free water and sewer service.

A Sandlot Baseball Academy will hold an overnight youth camp for ages 13 through 18 on Dec. 27 and 28, beginning at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is $125 by Dec. 20. Online registration is available at www.sandlotbaseball.net. For more information, call Tom Cox at 417-737-3548.

The Purdy FCCLA Chapter is selling T-shirts for the PanCan Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in memory of the late Purdy teacher, Carl Geyer. Hobbs-Anderson American Legion Post #91 reminds the public that flags will be flown at half-staff on Friday, Dec. 7 on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
