Friday, November 30, 2012

December offers the glow of the holiday season through Monett's Festival of Lights at South Park. Calendar Girl Cassie Hagedorn provided an added glow to the displays. The daughter of Missy Hagedorn and Jon Hagedorn, Cassie has been a busy senior at Monett High School. She is a four-year participant on the libero squad of the volleyball team, a senior team leader on the Pizzazz Poms dance team and a pole vaulter in track. She is vice president of the Student Council, Student Body treasurer, a member of the Youth Empowerment Project, M-Club, Future Business Leaders of America and the marketing class club DECA at Scott Tech. Over the Thanksgiving break, Cassie danced in the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City with the Spirit of America performance team. She is a Universal Dance Association All-American. She enjoys reading, watching her favorite shows and being with friends. Cassie has a brother, Andy, and helps care for the family cats: Nala, Ashes, Spike and Cici. Next fall she plans to attend Ozark Technical College as an A+ student and pursue a career in fashion merchandising and marketing. [Times Photo by Murray Bishoff]
