Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 11/16/12
Friday, November 16, 2012
MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
Hay movement is at a virtual standstill within the state. Buyers are
hoping for a mild feeding season. Sellers are keeping a close eye on
their stocks and holding back enough for themselves and their most
loyal customers to thrive until spring. Winter weather outlooks are
widely varied, but the general sentiment is that we are most likely
to see a combination of our last two winters; with periods of mild, dry,
warm days and nights interspersed with periods of extreme cold and likely
snowfall. Supply is light, demand moderate and prices are steady.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for
both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for a directory visit
