Weekend crash injured two

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 on Highway 39 approximately one-half mile south of Aurora.

The crash occurred when the driver of a 2000 Lincoln LS, Parker T. Abramovitz, 23, of Aurora, traveled over the center line and struck a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Amber L. Fletcher, 21, of Ozark, head on. The Fletcher vehicle then continued off the roadway and overturned.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield.

Other crashes

* One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 on Route K, three miles north of Aurora. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1995 Chevrolet pickup, Jorge Vazquez, of Monett, attempted to make a left turn from Highway ZZ to HIghway K, travelled off the roadway and struck a parked unoccupied 1989 Pontiac Firebird. Vazquez sustained moderate injures and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was wearing a seat belt.
