The Pride of Pierce City committee, a group of local volunteers, will host the 58th annual Pierce City Christmas Parade, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1
This year's Grand Marshal is Jack George, a military veteran and a former business owner who remains active in the community.
Organizational meetings will take place in the weeks prior to the parade. Volunteers are needed to serve as parade judges, to serve hot cocoa, cookies and help decorate the downtown area.
"We will be giving away trophies and cash prizes," said event co-coordinator Dana Stanphill. "Entry forms for the parade are available at City Hall or through e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"We're looking forward to this being a great event," Stanphill said.
Those interested in serving on the committee may also contact Stanphill on Facebook at Pride of Pierce City or call City Hall at 476-2323.
