   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold fully steady. The offering included several large dis-
persals which provided a heavy supply of bred cows and a moderate supply of
cow/calf pairs. Demand was very good for bred cows and cow/calf pairs. Supply
was heavy and demand moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-7 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 975-1300 lbs
most 1100.00-1325.00, some better quality from dispersals 1350.00-1660.00, 1st
stage 990-1280 lbs 925.00-1150.00; short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage
1100-1350 lbs 985.00-1100.00; broken mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1115-1260
lbs 815.00-900.00. Large 1-2  2-7 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 1295-1570 lbs 1050.00-
1125.00; broken mouth 3rd stage 1397-1448 lbs 1050.00-1070.00. Medium and Large

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 1000-
1275 lb cows w/babies to 380 lb calves and some rebred most 1300.00-1525.00,
some from dispersals in large lots and most cows rebred 1575.00-1825.00; broken
mouth to aged 1095-1100 lb cows w/145-185 lb calves 1000.00-1075.00. Large 1-2
5 yr 1400 lb cow w/370 lb calf 1500.00. Medium and Large 2  2 yr 1070 lb cow w/280 
lb calf and rebred 1250.00. Medium 1-2  3-7 yrs 800-1040 lb cows w/babies
to 180 lb calves 1150.00-1300.00 per pair.
