The Pierce City branch library has received a number of memberships to help reestablish the Friends of the Library Group. The first organizational meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to elect officers and adopt the bylaws for our group. Individuals willing to serve as officers are asked to contact the library. Membership forms will also be distributed at the meeting for those who have not filled one out.

New DVD's this week include: Holiday Engagement and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

New adult fiction titles include: "The Panther," by Nelson DeMille; "The Racketeer," by John Grisham, also available in the large print edition; "Angels at the Table: a Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy Christmas Story," by Debbie Macomber; "Missouri: Variety is the Spice of Four Romances in the Show-Me State," and "By Starlight," large print edition by Dorothy Garlock.

One large print edition western title is: "The Big Open: a Merlin Fanshaw Western Mystery," by Stan Lynde.

New mystery titles include: "The Bone Bed," by Patricia Cornwell; "Sleep No More," by Iris Johansen; and "The Uncommon Appeal of Clouds: an Isabel Dalhousie Novel," by Alexander McCall Smith.

The library is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, visit www2.youseemore.com/blrl.
