A revival featuring the Ledbetter family will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 and run through Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Monett Fundamental Methodist church, located at 810 13th St. Danny Ledbetter will speak at the Saturday service at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Grant Ledbetter speaks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The public is invited to attend.

The Monett Area YMCA will host "Lights On After School," from 5:30 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Central Park Elementary School. The free event will feature inflatable bounce toys, games and snacks, Costumes are optional. The event will help promote the YMCA after-school programs. Monett Lodge #129, AF&AM, will hold its annual chicken dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Masonic Temple, 13th St. and Glen. Serving times are 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include half a grilled chicken, baked beans, potato salad or cole slaw, dinner roll and a beverage for $6. Tickets are available from any member of the Lodge or at the door. Carry-out containers will be available.

The Purdy FCCLA Chapter is selling T-shirts for the PanCan Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in memory of the late Purdy teacher, Carl Geyer. The shirts bear Geyer's favorite quote" "Life is tough, but it is tougher if you are stupid." Cost is $10. Orders must be place by Nov. 7. To order, call 417-442-3215 extention 220 or 276.

Persons with mobility issues or difficulty standing in lines to vote are encouraged to ask for an absentee ballot from the county clerk's office or vote in advance at the clerk's office. In Barry County, absentee ballots can be requested by mail from Gary Youngblood, 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville MO 65625, by fax at 417-847-5311 or by email at barrycountyclerk@centurytel.net.

The annual meeting of the Purdy MFA Oil Company bulk plant will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, oct. 26 at the Purdy Community Center. Lunch will be provided. A financial report will be presented and delegates elected. For more information, call 417-442-3969.

The 36th annual Miss Holly Pageant for high school girls will be held on Nov. 17 at the Pate Early Childhood Center, located at 400 Terrace Dr., Aurora, beginning at 7 p.m. Residents of Lawrence, Barry and Stone counties are eligible. Tickets for The Show, the annual music and comedy revue hosted by the Cassville Are Chamber of Commerce, are available by calling 417-847-2814. Performances are Oct. 25 through Oct. 28.

A dedication of the Monett/Purdy Habitat for Humanity house at 115 E. Nellie in Monett will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Sharra Meadows and her family will be available to meet the public. A home tour will be offered and refreshments served.

The Barry County Area Retired School Personnel meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church, located on Ninth St. in Monett.

All branches of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans Day and on Thursday, Nov. 22 for Thanksgiving.
