Employees at Hospice Compassus in Monett hosted a chili cook-off on Wednesday, Oct. 17, to raise awareness for the Hospice Compassus Dream Team.

The event saw seven delicious entries from competitors eager to earn "bragging rights."

Entry fees for chili contestants were $25 per person, and tickets were sold for a drawing for vacation packages to Eureka Springs, Ark. and Branson. All proceeds will benefit the Hospice Compassus Dream Team.

Kim Berry was named winner of the chili cook-off.

Judges for the event were Kathryn Pliner and Matthew Garner, both of Cassville Health and Rehab; Melissa Brophy of Ramey's Pharmacy; and Sharon Carter, of Benchmark Healthcare.
