On Monday, Oct. 22, school will not be in session in the Monett R-1 School District to allow teachers to participate in a day of professional development and collaboration.
Campus agendas are as follows:
Monett Elementary: Team building cooperative learning; PBS (Positive Behavior Support) strategies, Google Doc training, educreations, Early Childhood curriculum sharing, 6+1 trait writing strategies, math strategies using math manipulatives.
Central Park Elementary: Book study, "The Leader In Me" (ongoing), professional learning communities quarter 1 assessment/data analysis; PBIS training (Ongoing), collaboration time: Continuing work in sharing resources for critical thinking skills, problem solving and the FAB 4 top skills for focused instruction, Quarter 1 WIN data review.
Monett Intermediate: Continuance of effective student feedback, PLC, and PBS.
Monett Middle: Professional learning communities - Breaking down essential outcomes (with Southwest Regional Professional Development Center); department collaboration.
Monett High: Building improvement team meeting, best practices sharing and application led by the math and fine arts departments, and collaboration time.
Scott Regional Technology Center: Continuance of: Ozark Writing Project including common core standards and informational writing Special Services Dept.: para professional training presented by Elaine O'Neal, Special Ed Director; working with students, 504 Plans vs Individual Education Plans and accommodations vs modifications; Lauralie Powell will present: working with SmartBoard and iPads
