Officers with the Monett Police Department responded to 2,174 incidents, not including 911 calls, during the month of September, along with 12 collisions involving 19 vehicles.
Three injury wrecks were documented, but 21 vehicles were damaged during September.
The 911 Communications Center answered a total of 357 "911" calls. Of those, 43 were hang-up calls and 117 were calls for police. A total of 14 calls were dispatched to the Pierce City Police Department, including three requesting medical assistance and 10 requesting police assistance.
The highest non-emergency call volumes included 101 for animal control, 110 for medical assistance, 142 for walk-in assistance and 621 for police.
Officers completed 159 offense reports for the month, 16 of which involved juveniles. Other reports included 86 arrests and 56 general-purpose reports, three of which involved juveniles.
A total of 282 warnings were issued for September, along with 77 moving traffic violations and 42 non-moving issues. A total of 24 ordinance violation notices were also issued.
Animal control reported a total number of 109 incidents for the month, which resulted in 16 dogs impounded.
Training activities for the month included D.A.R.E. re-certification training and gang investigations training. Officers also attended the ninth annual Protect Our Children Conference.
The highest number of offenses included: 19 stray dog complaints, 15 property damage reports, 18 stealing reports and 36 warrant arrests.
Detectives reported 107 criminal offenses under investigation. Currently, Detective Dave Haskins has 12 cases under investigation, Detective George Daoud has five case investigations underway, Detective Jeff Martinson is working 16 open investigations and Lt. Greg Brandsma is working one open investigations.
The 911 Communications Center employees trained in various subjects including: all stressed up and no one to choke, disaster recovery, intelligence gathering, ethics and dispatching, excited delirium, identity theft and persons of interest, I'm not prepared for that one, get the word out, people centered management, plane crashes and several other in-house educational sessions.
