The last house built by the construction technology class at what is now the Scott Regional Technology Center in Monett was moved on Thursday, Oct. 11 from the pad behind the school to a lot at Third and Birch streets purchased last year by the school district.

After the district moved its last house in January 2011, Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann said major lessons were learned in the six-hour ordeal that involved moving numerous utility lines. This time, the process took a fraction of the time and was done in the middle of the day.

Utility crews had to lift power lines, and ran into the most problems getting under a tree at Third and Sycamore. City street department crews and police accompanied the movers to help direct traffic.

The house is being marketed through RE/MAX Properties in Monett.
