The Monett High School Class of 1942 will hold its 70th anniversary reunion with the MHS classes of 1940 and 1941 on Oct. 12 and 13. A hospitality room at the Super 8 Motel will be open. A banquet is planned for both evenings at Grant's restaurant. For more information, call 236-9979.

The descendants of Ewin McPharis and Nancy Ann Tennis Davis and Ewin and Emma Frances Henderson Boswell Davis will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Grant's restaurant on Chapell Drive in Monett. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15 at the Monett Church of Christ, 1109 Ninth St., in the meeting room.

Voters who have moved need to update their addresses with the Barry County or Lawrence County clerks' offices. Barry County Clerk Gary Youngblood said in some cases, information could be updated by phone. For more information, call 417-847-2762.

A gospel meeting featuring Bill Ferguson, of Broken Arrow, Okla., will be held Oct. 10 through Oct. 14 at Southern Hills Church of Christ at Highway 60 and Carnation in Aurora.

The 60th reunion of the Monett High School Class of 1952 will meet on Friday, Oct. 12 at the hospitality room at the Monett Super 8 Motel. Alumni from the classes of 1951 and 1953 are invited to drop by to visit. For more information on the reunion, call Lois Hull at 1-573-346-0232.

The Henderson-Davis family reunion will be held at 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church, located on Farm Road 2060 in Purdy. All descendants of Vera Gertrude Wormington Henderson Davis and George Ewin Davis are invited to attend, along with any other relatives and friends. A brief business meeting will be held at 11:45 a.m. and a potluck lunch will be served at noon.

Registration is underway for adult flag football and volleyball league play through the Monett Area YMCA. Eight games are guaranteed with a single elimination post-season tournament. Flag football will be played Tuesday evenings Women's volleyball will be on Monday evenings with co-ed volleyball on Friday evenings. Registration ends Oct. 12. For more information, call 235-8213.

The Pierce City Senior Citizens Center, located at 104 N. Locust, will hold a fish fry fundraiser at noon on Friday, Oct. 12. The meal with vegetables, salad and dessert costs $4.50, for $3.50 for seniors. Additional donations will be accepted. For information, call 476-5800.

The Ennis and Beeson family reunion for descendants of Marty and Minnie Ennis, Evertt and Edna Beeson and Estis and Verna Beeson will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Community Faith Church on Highway 248. Attendees are encouraged to bring covered dishes.

The Barry-Lawrence County Ducks Unlimited Chapter will hold its annual member dinner on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett.
