The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15 at the Monett Walmart.

The Aurora Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the private dining room at Mercy Hospital-Aurora, located at 500 S. Porter. All interested persons are welcome. Donations are accepted. For more information, call Coralu at 417-678-3580.

The Monett High School Class of 1942 will hold its 70th anniversary reunion with the MHS classes of 1940 and 1941 on Oct. 12 and 13. A hospitality room at the Super 8 Motel will be open. A banquet is planned for both evenings at 6 p.m. at Grant's restaurant. For more information, call 236-9979.

The Carthage Maple Leaf Festival begins Friday, Oct. 12 and runs through Oct. 21. The art walk and quilt show opens on Oct. 12. There will be live music in the square. The Lawrence County Health Department has flu vaccine available for children age 6 months to 18 years old who reside in Lawrence County. There is a $10 charge. Flu shots and flu mist in a nasal spray is available. Vaccinations are available Monday to Wednesday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m., as well as 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 4. A gospel meeting featuring Bill Ferguson, of Broken Arrow, Okla., will be held Oct. 10 through Oct. 14 at Southern Hills Church of Christ at Highway 60 and Carnation in Aurora.

The Barry-Lawrence County Ducks Unlimited Chapter will hold its annual member dinner on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. An electronics drop-off for materials needing disposal will be sponsored by the City of Monett and the Southwest Missouri Solid Waste District N from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Monett Recycling Center, located at 205 15th St. Computers, telephones, VCRs, batteries, vacuum cleaners and stereo equipment will be accepted free of charge. There will be a charge for TVs, microwaves, computer monitors and fluorescent bulbs.

Dedication plans for the sixth Monett/Purdy Habitat for Humanity house will be made at a Habitat meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located at Fourth and Wishart.
