The Pierce City Branch Library has sent letters seeking members to reestablish the Friends of the Library group. Those interested in becoming a member and helping support programs for children and adults can contact the library at 417-476-5110. Information is available at the front desk.
Members of the group will have the opportunity to have a preview of the Monett Branch Book Sale on Thursday, Oct. 25. The sale will be open to the public on the following Friday Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27.
A scrapbooking and stamping workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 in the meeting room. Kristin Nama will be available to provide tips and hints on the crafts.
New titles include: "An Outlaw's Christmas," by Linda Lael Miller.
CD book titles include: "The Hatfield's and The McCoys," by Otis K. Rice; and "Where Azaleas Bloom" by Sherryl Woods.
New DVD titles include: I (Heart) Shakey, Darling Companion, and The Avengers.
