Registration is underway for adult flag football and volleyball league play through the Monett Area YMCA. Eight games are guaranteed with a single elimination post-season tournament. The Freistatt fire department will host a truck and tractor pull on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Ernte Fest grounds in Freistatt. A kids pedal pull will be at 5:30 p.m. and the tractor pull at 6 p.m. Admission is $10. Children 12 and under are free.
The Cassville Senior Center, located at 1111 Fair St., will host the October dance on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. The Roaring River Sounds Band will provide the music. There is a $4 cover charge. Proceeds will benefit the center.
A benefit for Mark Barnes, son and stepson of Loren and Thelma Barnes, of Freistatt, who was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fascitis will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Galena-Abesville Elementary School, 54 Medical Springs Road.
