Carthage - Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction 10/03/12

Thursday, October 4, 2012

Receipts: 1052 Last Week: 1285 Last Year: 1316

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold steady
to 1.00 higher. The offering included a moderate supply of bred cows but only
a handful of cow/calf pairs. Cooler weather and some moisture have brought
life back to much of the cool season grasses but additional rain would give
it a much needed boost. Supply was moderate and demand good for slaughter
classes.
