The Dorcas Ladies Aid met on Sept. 6 in Trinity Lutheran School fellowship hall with Doris Meyer conducting the meeting in place of Judy Lehde.
Jeanne Stoltz gave the worship, entitled "Stress." Nadine Obermann, pianist, accompanied during the hymn "Nearer My God to Thee."
Ruth Bremer opened with prayer and presented the program, "Time to Move On." Meyer, Bremer, Dorothy Osterloh and Lena Bremer read Bible verses. Members sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."
Bremer led in the Mite Box offering and members sang "Saints of God, the Dawn is Breaking."
|During the business meeting, the secretary and treasurers reports for July and August were read.||Reports included a reminder from the Christian Growth committee Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) Sunday is Oct. 7. The theme is "Salted for Service." There will be no noon meal for the LWML.|
Judy Krueger made a baptismal napkin for Seth William Carr. Ethel Helmkamp gave the infant's parents a bookmark.
The birthday song was sung for Elda Nelson and Selma Kleiboeker.
Doris and Orville Meyer were visitors for July and Judy and Erwin Krueger were visitors for August.
Meyer, Shirley Stanford and others served in place of Laura Aufdembrink and Evelyn Bracht. Bracht and Mabel Moennig made refreshments.
The meeting closed with the hymn "Abide in Me."
