   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00
higher. A very high percent of the offering went to slaughter with only a few
bred cows and cow/calf pairs traded. Several thin young cows did go back to the
farm. Supply and demand were moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 965-1335 lbs most 985.00-1185.00, black indiv. 3rd stage 1335.00,
4-6 yrs 1st stage couple 1090-1230 lbs 985.00; broken mouth to aged 2nd and
3rd stage few 1235-1300 lbs 850.00-870.00. Large 1-2  short and solid mouth
1450 lb indiv. 1110.00. Medium and Large 2  3 yrs to short and solid mouth
most 2nd and a few 3rd stage 780-1080 lbs 765.00-925.00. Medium 1-2  5-6 yrs
1st and 2nd stage couple pkgs. 990-1040 lbs 975.00-1050.00 per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-3 yrs 800-920 lb cows w/140-160
lb calves 1275.00-1325.00; pkg. short and solid mouth 1070 lb cows w/435 lb
calves 1450.00. Medium 1-2  short and solid mouth pkg. 975 lb cows w/110-265
lb calves 1200.00 per pair.
