Alvin Aufdembrink, age 85, of Freistatt, Mo., went to his heavenly home on Friday afternoon, Sept. 14, 2012.
He was born April 3, 1927, the son of Theodore and Minna (Freie) Aufdembrink, of Freistatt.
As a retired dairy and beef farmer, he spent his entire life on the same farm near Freistatt.
He was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he had served as an usher for many years. He had attended the Lutheran School and was a charter member of the Freistatt Lions Club.
Alvin is survived by three sisters, Laura Aufdembrink, of the home, Edna Bergemann and husband, Ed, of St. Paul, Minn. and Gladys Anna and husband, Donald, of Severna Park, Md.; eight nieces; six nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Arthur, Edward, James and Benjamin.
Funeral services for Mr. Aufdembrink will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with Reverend Ryan Buchmueller officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are being directed to the Trinity Lutheran Radio Broadcast or the Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
