Overnight stabbing under investigation

An overnight stabbing in Monett is under investigation by law enforcement officials with the Monett Police Department.

According to Monett Detective Dave Haskins officers received a call at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday from emergency personnel at Cox Monett Hospital reporting a man had been stabbed. The victim was airlifted to a Springfield hospital.

Investigators are working the case and seeking additional information from the public regarding the incident.
