Raymond was a lifelong farmer and cattleman and hauled cattle for many years. He previously sat on boards for several civic organizations such as the Spring River Road District, Lee Cemetery and the Aurora Rural Fire Department. He loved cookouts, farm sales and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Geneva Probstfield, of Verona; niece, Rita Johnson and her husband, Brad, of Strafford; nephew, Randy Probstfield, of Verona; two great nieces, Hannah Bollenbach and her husband, David, of Clever, Kelsey Johnson, of Columbia; great nephew, Jacob Johnson, of Strafford; and great-great niece Sydney Bollenbach, of Clever.
His parents, and brother-in-law, Lawrence Probstfield, preceded him in death.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with burial at Lee Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Raymond's memory.
