"We are still a young team," said Monett coach Bob Crain. "I do see signs of our squad improving. I told the girls that our season will not be judged by wins and losses, but we will get better as players."
Monett sophomore Hannah Pitts won her singles match 8-5 over Madasyn Scarlett.
Pitts and doubles partner Alexandra Ross prevailed 8-4 over Scarlett and Shelby Beal.
"We just need to keep playing," said Crain. "The wins will come."
The Lady Cubs will be in action at Reeds Spring Friday night. Matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
