A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 60 and Bridle Lane sent two people to the hospital.

The crash occurred about 4 p.m. on Tuesday when the driver of a 2003 Mercury Sable, Bobbie Lynn Moss, of rural Exeter, ran a red light and struck a 2007 Suzuki Forenza, driven by Gilberto Hernandez, of Monett, who was attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 60.

According to the investigating officer, Scott Landreth, of the Monett Police Department, Hernandez and his wife, Juana Valls, were both taken to Cox-Monett Hospital with serious injuries.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
