Carthage-Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction 8/29/12

Receipts:  1303    Last Week:  1240    Last Year:  870

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold
steady to 1.00 higher. The offering included a moderate to heavy supply of
bred cows and a light supply of cow/calf pairs. Demand was very good for
the better quality bred cows. Supply was heavy and demand good for
slaughter classes.
