Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 08/31/12

Many producers would normally be looking at the upcoming Labor Day holiday as a 
good time to get the combines ready for harvest. However this year most of them
have already been running for some time or weren't needed as the corn acres were
instead chopped.  This weekend all eyes will be on Tropical Storm Isaac as he is 
expected  to bring some of the rain Missourians are desperate to receive. 
Hay supplies are light, demand very good and prices are firm.The Missouri 
Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers

and per ton unless specified and on most recent reported sales prices listed as round bales
