Monett Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors were on hand at a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome American Job Center to its new location at 100 S. Maple St. in Monett. American Job Center is the new brand for the former Missouri Career Center, and provides training, assessment, job search, skills testing and access to the state unemployment call line. The center is also in the process of obtaining its National Career Readiness Certificate, which is recognized as the most effective strategy for certifying workplace skills and predicting workplace success.
