The First Presbyterian Church of Monett will host a Sunday morning concert by one of Southern Gospel Music's most exciting groups -- the trio known as Steve Hess and Southern Salvation. The performance will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 at the church, which is located at Seventh and Sycamore in Monett. Steve Hess is the nephew of gospel Hall-of-Famer Jake Hess. The unique trio features a great blend of outstanding voices and music to sing along to. Steve Hess sings baritone and plays piano. Rodney Tyson sings lead, and Chad Riley sings tenor. The public is invited to attend the free concert to enjoy this trio of men who have dedicated their talents to presenting the Gospel through music. No admission will be charged, but a freewill offering will be taken at the conclusion of the concert.
