Receipts: 1240 Last Week: 1856 Last Year: 968
Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold 3.00 lower. The offering included cattle from several
herd reductions which provided some good quality bred cows. There were
only a few scattered cow/calf pairs in the offering. Temperatures have
moderated but still no significant rainfall across the area. Supply was
heavy and demand moderate for slaughter classes.

Bred Cows: Medium and Large 1-2 2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1040-1340 lbs most 975.00-1175.00, better quality 3rd stage from
herd reductions 1275.00-1300.00, 1st stage 1000-1075 lbs 875.00-975.00;
short and solid mouth to aged 3rd stage 1118-1175 lbs 700.00-900.00. Large
1-2 2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 1200-1615 lbs 1020.00-
1275.00; broken mouth to age 3rd stage 1335-1435 lbs 975.00-1075.00. Medium
and Large 2 4-6 yrs 2nd stage couple 1000-1100 lbs 675.00-875.00. Medium 1-2
2-7 yrs 2nd stage 700-1040 lbs 775.00-1000.00, 1st stage 875-1000 lbs 650.00-
800.00 per head.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 2 yrs to short and solid mouth
935-1225 lb cows w/babies to 300 lb calves and some rebred 1225.00-1300.00.
Medium and Large 2 5 yr 1060 lb cow w/baby calf 1050.00. Medium 1-2 2-7
yrs 790-1040 lb cows w/babies to 240 lb calves and a few rebred 975.00-
1150.00 per pair.
