The Southern Missouri Bee Keepers of Monett will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Monett, located at 1600 N. Central. All interested persons are welcome. For more information, call 235-7726.

At Ernte Fest in Freistatt on Friday and Saturday, there are changes from last year. The cost for parking on the grounds has been reduced to $3. There will be a cover charge for entering the bier garten of $3 per person to help cover the cost of the bands. Anyone under age 21 accompanied by an adult will not be charged.

An informal concert of bluegrass, country and gospel music will be held at 6 p.m. today at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located at Pleasant and Washington in Aurora, one block from the square. The Pleasant Ridge Special Road District commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at the Pleasant Ridge school house on Highway Z.

The Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church will hold a revival on Aug. 17 through Aug. 19. Services will be held at 7 p.m. daily featuring the Danny Ledbetter family. The church is located approximately five miles southeast of Monett on Farm Road 1100. For more information, call 236-4390.

The Barry County Tax Board for the Developmentally Disabled will hold its annual tax levy hearing and quarterly meeting at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at the historic Barry County Courthouse in Cassville.

The Lawrence County Tax Board for the Developmentary Disabled will hold its tax levy hearing and meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 403 E. Elm St. in Aurora.

The Aurora Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, in the private dining room at Mercy Hospital-Aurora, located at 500 S. Porter. Support persons are welcome. For information, call Coralu at 417-678-3580.

The Kings Prairie Special Road District commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Grant's restaurant in Monett.

A country breakfast fundraiser to benefit the Pierce City Senior Citizens Center will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the senior center, 104 N. Locust St. The meal is $5 for adults and $3.50 for children ages 5 to 10. Additional donations will be accepted.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held at the First Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), located at 603 Fourth St. in Monett, from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20.

The 24th annual Pierce City Car Show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Pierce City South Park. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to noon. The fee to participate is $15. The top 75 vehicles will receive a trophy. For more information, call Kevin Hatfield at 417-850-0940.

Plans are underway for a reunion of students who graduated or would have graduated from Pierce City or McAuley High Schools from 1960 through 1971. The reunion will be held on Sept. 21 and 22 in Pierce City. For additional information, contact Jim Larkin at 476-2436.
