Pierce City's Howdy Neighbor Days begins today. This will be gospel music night with Josh Jennings and Bob Alexander at 6:30 p.m. ant the Whisman family at 8 p.m. Thursday is bluegrass night with Center Creek Sinners, Southern Saints and Brookline Station.
A spaghetti dinner will be hosted by American Legion Post #91 on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12, The cost includes salad, dessert and beverage. The Post is located at 717 E. Broadway.

The 39th annual Ernte Fest will be held Friday and Saturday at the Ernte Fest grounds in Freistatt. The Freistatt Lions Club event will include games, rides, a menu of traditional German food and live entertainment both nights. Serving begins at 4:30 p.m.
The 61st annual Crane Broiler Festival will run Aug. 23-25 at the Crane City Park. Booth space is available for Friday and Saturday. The carnival will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 22. Youth pageants will be held on Aug. 24 at the Crane Christian Church Community and Youth Center.
The 100 Mile Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25. The traditional route on Highway 37, through downtown Monett and east from Kyler on Highway 60 will be followed.
A country breakfast fundraiser to benefit the Pierce City Senior Citizens Center will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the senior center, 104 N. Locust St. The meal is $5 for adults and $3.50 for children ages 5 to 10. Additional donations will be accepted.
