MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
Receipts: 1098 Last Week: 746 Last Year: 438
Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold firm and slaughter bulls
sold 1.00-2.00 higher. A very high percent of the offering went to slaughter
which also included about 35 percent dairy cows and bulls. Several herds were
dispersed as the rain has left us high and dry, although cooler temperatures are
much welcomed in the area. Supply was heavy and demand was good for slaughter
classes.
