There is no major change in the hay market this week as supplies remain very light, demand very good, and prices are firm. In the worst areas of the state the sell-off of cattle is the only option left given the lack pasture, hay, and stock water. While parts of Missouri have seen some rain over the last week it has been spotty in nature and limited in amount. As of Tuesday's drought monitor, 95 percent of the state is now in extreme to exceptional drought. Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
