Two Cassville residents injured in crash

Two Cassville residents were injured in a crash that occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday on Highway 60 just west of Republic.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2007 Chrysler 300, Spencer L. Primrose, 78, traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a drainage pipe and culvert before drifting across the highway and coming to a rest.

Primrose and a passenger in the vehicle, Beverly A. Primrose, his wife, 75, were both taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. Both were wearing a seat belt.

Other crashes

A Joplin man sustained injuries in a single-vehicle wreck that occurred at 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday on Highway 97 about one mile south of Stotts City. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2008 Ford E350 van, Jarred L. Heath, 27, of Joplin, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Heath was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
