"Homeland: Immigration in America," the documentary series by the nineNetwork of Public Media in St. Louis, can be viewed online. The complete program entitled "Jobs," that features Monett, can be found at explorehomeland.org, clicking the "Watch now" link and finding the "Jobs" picture.

The Southern Missouri Bee Keepers of Monett will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the First United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Central in Monett. For more information, contact President Kevin Young at 417-847-5464 or John Schmidt at 235-7726.

The VFW Post #4207 Ladies Auxiliary will host a luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will consist of roast pork stuffing with gravy, season carrots, salads, dessert and beverage for $6.

New hours for the Monett License Office, beginning Aug. 6, will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the last four business days of the month.

The Rebel's Bluff theatrical troupe will present Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, and Friday, Aug.. 11, preceded by dinner at 6 p.m. A matinee is offered at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12. Performances will be at the Marc, 833 W. Mt. Vernon Blvd. in Mt. Vernon. Advanced tickets are available by calling 417-466-7861.

Community Blood Centers of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Freedom Christian Center, 17044 Highway 39 near Aurora.

The Freistatt Ernte Fest will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 17-18 at the Ernte Fest grounds in Freistatt.

The 13th annual Kings Prairie Concert will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at the historic Kings Prairie school. Featured entertainers will be Dewayne Bowman and his Western swing band, Red Bridge bluegrass and Al Brumely Jr. with the songs of Albert E. Brumley, accompanied by Dwayne Friend. Concession serving begins at 5 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring lawn chairs. The concert will be held south of Highway 60, three miles east of Monett, on Highway Z one mile, then west on Farm Road 2015, across from the New Liberty Church.

A fundraising golf tournament to benefit Troy Davis will be held on Friday, Aug. 10. The four-person scramble will be held at the Windmill Ridge Municipal Golf Course, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per team for skins and $10 per person for Mulligans. A sibling class for families with newborns will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 Cox Monett Hospital, in the Conference Room C on the third floor. Classes are free to women who plan to deliver at Cox Monett. Registration is required and can be made by calling 417-354-1300.
