Sign-ups for Monett Mighty Mite football and cheerleaders will be held July 23 through July 26 at the field house at Burl Fowler Stadium from 5 through 7 p.m. For more information, call Sean Kelley at 235-9700. The first game will be on Sept. 1.

The Kings Prairie Special Road District commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at Grant's restaurant in Monett.

The 637th Lawrence County Gospel Sing will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at the Buck Prairie Baptist Church. Singers and musicians are welcome. The church is located south of Marionville on Farm Road 1230.

The Kevin Phillips Singers will perform at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at the Church of the Nazarene in Cassville, on North Highway 37, beside Crowder College.

Community Blood Centers of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive in Mt. Vernon on Monday, July 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Schreiber Foods, 108 W. North Street.

A rabies clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 21, at the South Park in Pierce City, at the west pavilion, sponsored by the Animal Clinic of Monett and the Pierce City Police Department. Cost is $7.50 per animal.

Training for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) participation will be held July 27 and 28 at the Sycamore Community Building, east of Chesapeake. Sessions will be fro 5 to 10 p.m. on July 27 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 28. Training is free. For more information, call 417-861-4469.

A free breastfeeding support group meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 2 at the Monett WIC office at the Barry County Health Department satellite, Highway 37 and Cherry Street in Monett. The session will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. For more information, call 489-1195.

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce will host a four-person scramble golf tournament at Honey Creek Golf Club on Saturday, July 28. Start time is 8 a.m. Cost is $240 per team for 18 holes, cart, and lunch. For more information, call 417-678-4150.

Vacation Bible School will be held by the Aurora United Methodist Church on July 26 and 27. The theme will be "Rocky Point Lighthouse."
