Dove Bolton McNiel, of rural Verona, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 after a brief illness. She was 98 years old, born April 24, 1914 in Cassville, Mo.
She married Wiley (Pete) Bolton March 27, 1937 in Joplin, Mo. and they resided in rural Verona. He preceded in her in death on Feb. 26, 1962.
Survivors include three children, Clinton Wiley (C.W.) Bolton and wife, Beauanna, of Verona, Judy Wormington and husband, Frankie, of Verona and Richard (Dick) Bolton and wife, Donita of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; five grandchildren, James and Charles, of Joplin, Kevin Wormington, of Springfield, Greg Bolton, of St. Louis and Brian Bolton, of Dallas, Texas; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Delores Considine, of Dewey, Okla., Faye Baney, of Fresno, Calif., Ruby Phillips, of Fresno, Calif., Eva Mysinger, of Bowling Green, Ky. and Shirley Elam, of Senora, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theo Frazier; mother and step-father, Myrtle and Henry Carroll; two brothers, Carmen Frazier and Junior Carroll; and two sisters, Bertha Higham and Dell Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20 at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Spring River Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thurs. from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
