Receipts: 785 Last Week: 642 Last Year: 426

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 4.00-6.00 lower and slaughter
bulls sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Continued dry conditions have forced many to
producers to begin feeding hay which has prompted some to begin reducing their
herd size in an effort to match forage supplies. There was a moderate number of
bred cows traded that returned to the farm but only a few scattered cow/calf
pairs retained their pair status and returned to the farm as pairs. Supply was
heavy and demand moderate for slaughter classes.
