A Shell Knob man is dead following a two-vehicle crash July 11 on Highway 39 in Shell Knob.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 8:30 p.m. when the driver of a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, Nicholas C. Kulhanek, 27, of Shell Knob, was attempting to make a turn and struck a 1967 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Aaron L. Poston, 49, of Shell Knob, head on. Kulhanek was not wearing a seat belt.
The body was taken to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
This is Troop D's 50th fatality crash in 2012 and the fourth for the month of July.
* A Mt. Vernon man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:40 a.m. on July 12 on Highway 96 about three miles west of Halltown. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2009 Pontiac G6, Samuel B. Whitmire, 18, of Mt. Vernon, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
