She was retired from Vaisey-Bristol in Monett. She was an amazing cook, homemaker and the most wonderful mother in all the world. She was a founding member of the House of Prayer in Monett.
Viola is survived by five daughters, Shirley Ann Hawkins and husband, Dolan, Cape Fair, Mo., Naomi Louise Stoeckel and husband, Ed, Belleville, Ill., Joyce Gaylene Davis and husband, Roger, Edmond, Okla., Mary Catherine (Kay) McBride and husband, Wayne, Farmington, Ark., and Gwendolyn Renee VanDerhoef and husband, Bill, Strafford, Mo.; one brother, J.R. Crossland, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Anna Maples, Miami, Okla., and Mary McKee, Joplin, Mo.; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one step-great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Mo. Services will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett with Rev. Russell Presson and Rev. Kenneth Ross officiating. Burial will follow services at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Mo.
