Miller High School student Dustin Reynolds and his aide, Joe Vandergrift, worked at Lacoba Homes in Monett as part of Reynold's training through the Southwest Area Career Center in Monett. Reynolds graduated this spring and will be attending college in Springfield. Pictured above, are: Vandergrift and Reynolds.
Residents at Lacoba Homes in Monett will miss the familiar faces of Dustin Reynolds and his aides, Steve Logan and Joe Vandergrift, after Reynolds graduated from Miller High School in May.

Reynolds attended classes at the Southwest Area Career Center (SWACC) and, through that program, worked at the activities center at the skilled nursing facility. Vandergrift worked in the laundry area at Lacoba.

Reynolds has been accepted to a Springfield college and will be attending classes in the fall. Logan will no longer be serving as an aide.

Vandergrift, who will be a sophomore next fall, hopes to work in the maintenance department at Lacoba through the SWACC program.

"The staff got to know these students and grew to love them," said Lee Ann Leamon, activities director at Lacoba Homes.
