   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower and slaughter
bulls sold 1.00-2.00 lower on a light supply. A high percent of the offering
went to slaughter including a large number of bred cows and most cow/calf
pairs were split with the cows weighed up. Even though some scattered rain
fell in parts of the area over the weekend pastures are in poor to very
poor condition prompting a larger movement of cows to market. Supply was
moderate to heavy and demand moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1050-1345 lbs most 875.00-1110.00, few better quality 1160.00-
1175.00, 1st stage 1200-1290 lbs 960.00-1010.00; short and solid mouth to
aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1165-1245 lbs 810.00-900.00. Large 1-2  6 yrs to
short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 1380-1595 lbs 1050.00-1165.00.
Medium and Large 2  6-7 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage couple 1105-1120 lbs 770.00-
835.00, 1st stage 975 lb indiv. 680.00. Medium 1-2  4-6 yrs 3rd stage 870-

1000 lb cow w/baby calf 1110.00; short and solid mouth pkg. 955 lb cows w/185
lb calves 900.00. Medium 1-2  short and solid mouth to aged 945-955 lb cows
w/newborn to 155 lb calves 825.00-900.00 per pair
