Barbara "Darlene" Thomas, age 70, of Cape Fair, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born June 19, 1942, in Seymour, Missouri, the daughter of Cluas C.C. and Fay Zelma (Maples) Daniel. On September 1, 1960, in Wheelerville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Henry Carl Thomas, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Steven Carl Thomas of Shell Knob, Missouri and his children, Brandy and Cynthia Thomas; daughter, Kimberly Ann Ginther and her husband, John of Shell Knob, Missouri and their children, Ryan, Breann and Danielle Ginther; daughter, Christie Thomas-Harrison of Monett, Missouri and her children, Cidney and Lacey Harrison and daughter, Jamie Leigh Sturgell and her husband, Toby of Jenkins, Missouri and one child on the way; two brothers Wendell Daniel of Ozark, Missouri and Danny Daniel and his wife, Katherine of Salem, Oregon; three sisters, Geraldine Crouch and her husband, Howard of Duenweg, Missouri, Janet Daniel of Mansfield, Missouri and Judy Jones of Mansfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Floydene Baker; two brothers, Claude Daniel and Carroll Daniel and one grandson, Philip A. Ginther.
Darlene, as most people knew her, grew up and received her education in Pomona, California. In 1959, she moved to the Aurora and Monett areas, remaining there until eight years ago when she and Henry moved to Shell Knob to make their home. She was a member of the Pentecostal Faith, Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, Family Worship Center Church.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, with Pastor Lonnie Stockton officiating. Burial was be in IOOF Cemetery, Monett, Missouri.
