With the recent dry weather, the Monett Rural Fire Association reminds all property owners outside the Monett city limits to have their blue signs with orange stickers clearly visible in case of a fire. Property owners who are not currently members can stop at The CPA Group, located at 217 Fourth St. in Monett, to pay dues.

Vacation Bible School sponsored by the First Baptist Church in Pierce City will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 with the theme "Amazing Wonders Aviation." Children will gather at the city park in Pierce City to be shuttled to a hangar at the Monett Municipal Airport for a day of study, crafts, music, games and food.
